Why did we choose this 'design'?
Layout
After checking out a few travel blogs we found that many were super informative, but cluttered.
Whilst info is great, too much info can be overwhelming and actually discourage the viewer to stay on the blog/site.
With this in mind, we decided to have a clear and simplistic design with smaller bursts of info, or 'features' as such to keep the viewer interested.
The background we have chosen is a classic Sydney image. This both acts as a sign-post for what our blog is about, but also as a relief from the text of the blog.
The colour scheme chosen are cool blue tones. We felt that the 'blues' reflected Sydney, as it is a city by the sea, but furthermore is calming and relaxing to the eye which would also encourage the viewer to stay on our blog and read on.
On that note, lets kick off our travel blog. Hope you all enjoy it!
